Create Shortcut Icon on User’s Desktop for a URL

Hello Friends, please follow below steps to create a shortcut  on user’s desktop against a URL for quick access to desired website.

first of all, create a GPO and Go to below path:

Computer Configuration –> Preferences –> Windows Settings –> Shortcuts
Right click on “Shortcuts” –> New –> Shortcut

and fill all the details as follows:
Action : Create

Name : Give name as per your convenient

Target Type : URL

Location : All Users Desktop

Target URL : Give the URL

Thereafter, let remain all values as it is.

At last, go to user’s workstation and run command “gpupdate /force” and shortcut will appear on user’s desktop.
