Restrict User To Change Brightness Setting

Hello Friends, being as an IT Administrator it is your responsibility to stop users by changing any settings on their PCs. Display setting is one of the key feature which can be controlled centrally using Group Policy. Therefore, you need to make sure that apply GPO to restrict user to change display setting. Once implemented then users will not be able to modify display setting manually. IT Admin can control display setting through GPO.

To restrict user to change display setting please follow below steps:

First of all, Open Group Policy Management Console and create new group policy. Now, right click on it and select “Edit” option.

Freshers can follow link How To Open and Configure Group Policy. Thereafter go to the below path.

Go to Computer configuration –> Policies –> Administrative Templates –> System –> Power Management.

Expand it and select “Video and Display Settings , on right side there are multiple policies regarding brightness / display settings.

Just double click on appropriate policy and make necessary changes. Click on “OK” button to come out of the policy.
