Configure PIN Settings To Log Into Computer
Please follow the below steps to configure this.
First of all, open Group Policy Management Console and then create a new GPO. Freshers can follow link How To Open Group Policy Management Console. Now Group Policy Editor is ready to use.
Now, it’s time to configure Group Policy. Right click on this GPO, select “Edit” option displaying on it and go to the below path:
Computer Configuration–> Administrative Template–> System–> Logon
Once reach on above path, on right hand side search for “Turn on convenience PIN sign-in”. Double click on it and select the option as per your requirement. This policy determines whether Dynamic Lock should be enabled or disabled.
This policy setting allows you to control whether a domain user can sign in using PIN. If you enable this policy setting, a domain user can set up and sign in with a PIN. If you disable or don’t configure this policy setting, a domain user can’t set up and use PIN. Note: The user’s domain password will be cached in the system vault when using this feature.
